Parker McCollum knows his way around a sad song. The Austin-based singer-songwriter found hits in heartbreak on songs like 2021’s “To Be Loved by You” and continues to plumb his darker depths on new track “Stoned.” The melancholy song, about finding solace in a good smoke, has been a live favorite for fans and may land on a new album from McCollum in the new year, though firm plans haven’t been announced yet. “I hope that y'all are excited about it, because that's about all that I have for sad songs,” McCollum tells Apple Music. “Actually, on this new record I intentionally tried to write a couple that didn't end terribly and go so bad.
