Founded in 2009, KXT 91.7 FM is one of the public broadcasting stations operated by North Texas Public Broadcasting, a not-for-profit media network that also includes KERA 90.1 FM, KERA TV and Art&Seek. KXT is a commercial-free, member-supported, listener-driven public radio station. We’re committed to supporting North Texas musicians, music discovery and bringing the best in new, local and legendary music to our listeners.
KKXT (91.7 MHz) is a listener-supported public radio station, licensed to Dallas and broadcasting to the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. It has a Triple A (adult album alternative) music format with a mix of acoustic, alt-country, indie rock, alternative and world music. It is owned by North Texas Public Broadcasting, which also owns 90.1 KERA (FM), an NPR news and information network affiliate and KERA-TV, a PBS affiliate.
